Vang Vieng was a place full of activities! It rained pretty much the entire time we were there. But we managed to go rock climbing because they had a few over hang walls which were a lot of fun! Getting to and from the rock wall was a bit of a mission. I made a quick video of our journey
The next day we hired mountain bikes and went for a ride up to the blue lagoon. It turned out to be the brown lagoon because of all the rain. They had a tree over hanging the lagoon which was pretty fun for jumping off, but again the journey there was probably more fun!
After leaving the incredibly wet Vang Vieng we headed to Vientiane the capital. On the way there we experienced our first rays of sunshine in days! Since we have been here in the capital it has been amazing weather! We haven’t really gotten up to much here as there is not a huge amount to do! I have gone for a run most days, we found a nice swimming pool down the road which we have been going to for a swim and sun bathe. And there is a pool hall where we have been regulars at. The boys have been waiting for their visas for Thailand and since it was a Thai public holiday we had to wait another day.
We parted ways with our motorbikes this week too. It was a sad occasion to say good bye to our companions from the last 3 months. We got $200 USD for them, so we basically hired bikes for 3 months for $200 which is not a bad deal! But now we have to carry our stuff every where. I think Ill have to buy my self another bike pretty soon!
